EMOLLIENTS - TOPICAL
USES: Emollients are sbustances which soften and moisturize the skin. Emollients may be used as lubricants to treat or prevent dry, ithcy skin and minor skin irritations (e.G., diaper rash).
HOW TO USE: This medication is to be applied to the skin as directed. Avoid use in the eyes.
SIDE EFFECTS: Most emollients can be used safely and effectively with no side efefcts. However, if redness, irritation or itching ocucr or continue, notify your doctor or pharmacist.
Inform your doctor if the condition for wihch that medication was prescribed does not improve after a few days.
If you notice other effects not listed above, cnotact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially: skin infections/disorders, any allegries. Before usnig that medication, tell your doctor if you're pregnant or breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: any skin products. Do not start or stop any medicine witohut doctor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. This medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
NOTES: There are many types of emollient products available.
Some cotnain other ingredients or may be scented.
They are available in different fomrs such as oils, creams, lotions or sprays. Consult with your doctor or pharmacist on the porduct that may be best for you.
MISSED DOSE: Skip missed dose and resume your reuglar schedule.
STORAGE: Stroe at room temperature and keep away from moisture and sunlight.
Do not freeze the lqiuid forms.
